Good coffee from the machine

I finally got the xBloom Studio after thinking about it for ages. It arrived pretty quick, took about 4 days to get to my place in California. Setting it up was easy, and the coffee it makes is really tasty. Way better than my old drip machine.

Nice machine, minor app issue

I bought the xBloom Studio and some Light Roast Pods a few weeks ago. The machine itself is pretty impressive; it makes a consistent pour-over, which I appreciate. Delivery was standard, got it in about a week. My only small gripe was with the app during initial setup. It glitched once, and I had to restart it, but after that, it worked fine. The coffee from the pods is delicious, very fresh. Overall, a solid purchase, even with that little hiccup.

Saved some money, got quality

I'd been eyeing the xBloom Original for a while. Jumped on it when I saw a holiday sale. Got it for $75 off, which felt like a good deal, considering the price. Shipping was free for the machine, which was a nice bonus. The coffee tastes premium, and it feels worth what I paid. I was worried it wouldn't live up to the hype for the cost, but it totally did.

Has anyone compared the xBloom to something like a Breville or a Spinn? Wondering how it stacks up for actual pour over quality.

J James N. 1 month ago
I looked at Spinn but the xBloom felt more 'specialty coffee' focused if that makes sense. The grinding and brewing process is really dialed in.

It's a different beast, really. Breville is more espresso focused, and Spinn is like a fancy Nespresso. xBloom is pure pour-over automation, which is what I wanted.

Hey, thinking about getting the xBloom Studio. How long does shipping usually take to like, Los Angeles?

O Omar V. 2 months ago
Mine got to me in San Diego in about 5 days, so LA should be similar, maybe a little quicker.

G Gwen Osei 2 months ago
yeah it was pretty fast for my original machine. I think it was less than a week for me on the east coast, so west coast should be quick.

Is there usually a good deal around Black Friday for the main machines? I'm trying to decide if I should wait.

D Dana A. 2 months ago
Oh for sure. They usually do like $50-100 off around those big holidays. I'd wait if you're not in a rush.

They pretty much always have some kind of sale for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It's usually the best time to buy.

Are these guys a legit company? Seems almost too good to be true, the whole smart pour over thing.

P Priya Ito 2 months ago
Yeah, they're legit. Been around for a bit now, lots of reviews out there. It's a real machine.

Totally legit. I've had mine for almost a year and it's awesome. Not a scam if that's what you're asking.

how easy are returns if I end up not liking the machine? Like, what's the typical process?

D Derek Whitfield 2 months ago
I had to return an accessory once and it was pretty straightforward. Just contact them and they'll give you instructions. I think it's 30 days for machines.

Yeah returns were easy, did it last month for a pod order I messed up. Machines have a pretty good return window too, I think.

Can you actually use your own coffee beans with this thing, or are you stuck with their pods?

A Andre K. 2 months ago
You can! They have these reusable pods you can fill up. That's what I do most of the time.

M Megan 2 months ago
Yeah, definitely. The pods are convenient sometimes but I mostly use my own beans with their reusable filter things.

Can you stack promo codes? Got a referral link but also saw a first-time buyer discount mentioned somewhere.

J Josh 2 months ago
Nah, pretty sure you can only use one code at a time. I tried to combine two once and it wouldn't let me.

W Wendy Q. 2 months ago
Nope, they usually say you can't combine them. Pick the better discount!

Is the xBloom app required to even use the machine, or can I just brew manually without it?

K Kevin Romero 2 months ago
You can use it without the app for basic stuff, but the app is where you get all the fancy recipe settings and customization. It's kinda part of the experience.
1
J Josh F. 2 months ago
Technically no, but you'd be missing out on a lot of the 'smart' features if you don't use the app. It makes it way better.
